Yep. Game works with dial up... you may lag a little when a lot of other players are around though.

I have a question.

Where do babies come from and what is this object hanging between my legs?

That's what happens if you forget to wipe after leaving the ladies room, Bacon.

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

I has a question.

How do i shot lock vector? (More exactly, how does it work, when do I use it, and how long it takes to master.)

That's horrible, juck, and that's even worse, para. Good lord.

Lock vector, you press L (at least it's L with the keyboard mapping downloaded from allegacademy). It basically means autopilot, but instead of going to your target (base, ship, rock, aleph, sector, whatever), this autopilot just continues going where you were going, no matter where you point your crosshair to.

So you can fly straight at, say, a rock. And then you lock vector, you can spin around all you want you'll eventually hit that rock.

But you can also thrust if I recall correctly, it won't cancel lock vector.

Also I think lock vector is subject to your thrusters' limitations. Since your reverse/side thrusters don't have as much top speed as your forward thruster, if you go to speed, lock vector, then turn 180 degrees your speed will lower to the max speed of your reverse thruster.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
