Event Game FAQ
Big events such as Zone Games attract hundreds of players for a single game and things can get hectic pretty quickly. Because of this a set of rules are enforced by @Allegs and Event Staff to help ensure things go smoothly.
This article does not apply to squad events like the Squad Tourney.
Important! Hands off the keyboard! Before the game begins, please refrain from chatting unless asked a question by an @Alleg or Event staff. The organizers need to get the game off the ground and 100+ players typing make that difficult.
@Allegs will remove players from the game entirely, if required.
FAQ
| Q. | Can I join an event? |
| A. | It is safe to assume you can join such events. If the game is not advertised to be "X vs World", it is safe to assume you can join either team; otherwise please join the X team if you are in the X group or the World team if you aren't. |
| Q. | The game is so unbalanced! Why is it one team has so few players? |
| A. | Chances are this is a "X vs World" game, for some value of X. Imbalance is the point. Just join the team you are assigned to, sit back and enjoy the ride. |
| Q. | The game suddenly crashed and when I logged back on it told me I had a zero minute ban. What's going on? |
| A. | The Event staff asked not to chat for a moment. You elected to ignore this. This is your prize.
Event Games have strict chatting rules to prevent unmanageable spam. Your 0min boot was a warning issued because you typed something that disrupted the organization of the game. Please remember to keep "All" chat clear, for commanders/@Allegs/Event organisers and let the game get started! |
| Q. | I can't find the server / my game crashes when I join / I didn't get a tag issued / etc. Please Help! |
| A. | There should be a thread in the FAO General Forum where you can post your problem and volunteer staff will try and help you solve your problem.
Alternatively you could try logging into the IRC Allegiance chat channels, or you could try joining Teamspeak and get someone there to help you. PM's to the Event organizer, within game are discouraged, as 25 people without a TAG, or some other problem, sending a Private Message at once can be hectic to deal with. |
