I run a 3.0ghz computer with a HD 4870 video card. 4 gigz of ram and the Alpha Allegiance Graphics Client. I never get any slow down except during pretty large prox clouds. I do randomly crash from time to time but that seems to have more to do with the Alpha than Alleg and fraps at the same time. I actually run my ts off another computer now and just pop on as a guest on the computer I fraps on to record everone's chatter including my own. It takes me about 90-120 minutes to compress the average squad game down to something smaller than the 7 gigs or whatever they start out as. I run my Fraps at full size and 30fps.

I believe I have version 2.95 but I will check later.

This video is from our friendly game vs SF/GB this past weekend.

TF vs Bios. Its only 22 minutes long because I had a random crash so I didn’t bother to shrink it in high quality. This is just so you can see an idea of our opening tactics this past weekend. I forgot to record TS in this video as well.

As you can see SF did a bios op/carrier(1/3 cost of a tech base…) push right at the start. I would say they over defended their con and underdefended their miners because they left a gap in their defensive lines that let 2 scouts strike from the sky my brothers and kill their miner.

My bold tp con push midhigh based on how many people they had defending their op let us quickly seize the middle mining chain as well which was quite handy. So 10 minutes in I controlled midhigh and midlow as well as low essentially as our Sup was 2 k from the low aleph which made for quick travel times.

I actually had planned to get an Exp high next to our home but their op went there – this is a good example of not buying you tech base until you are SURE you have a rock for it.

Very interesting as well that SF pushed their carrier directly to our home. Not sure why they did this – it was essentially suicide and they had to have known all of our miners were gone because they had a scout low eyeing them.

You can see after the first op I don’t bother to build anymore – since we are sup its pointless and TF miners take to long to dock imo so refs work 10 times better. Also Val was running the majority of my miners which was a load off my mind. If you notice by about 8 minutes in I have already started assault mining “his sectors” I mine both low and start mining midlow a few minutes later. I like to do this early with at least 2 miners because even if he pushes a con there we have stolen some of his he3.

You will also notice like some noobs out there I do not sit in base while miners die, nor do I launch another fig. I launch a NAN to keep miners alive. SysX as a whole does not spend much time in base. If you are in base more than say 10-15 seconds at any time you damn well better be AFK because there is always @#(! to be done. There is really no need for anyone to f3 spam scout the map as I do a decent enough job of that myself and keep everyone informed via TS

SF pushes a miner next to our home and we get some organized rushes on it. Even if we don’t kill it we stop it from mining which really achieves the same goal. I’m not sure why they mined high at the op instead of high next to their home which would have allowed them to mine a further distance away from us but it made it easy for us to conduct offensive operations.

We lose a miner low as we didn’t really have any good probes on their home aleph and notice they had pushed an Exp con in there plus D.

Also please note I would spam tps whenever I could even at the cost of delaying tech purchases as I feel map control is one of the most important things. Map = Money.

At 18:10 you can see XphoeniX ram mines at full speed. It’s hard to tell in the video but we also kill the nans first unlike most other voobish squads which allowed us to stop that bomber before it blew up our garr.

No Team speak chatter in this game because I forgot to switch to our squad channel like a noob = (

Note one of the FIRST things I do in base is set up my nan scout!!!

Also when I buy my opening cons as IC I did not enhance them this game. I figured against Belters our Ints could more than hold their own and it wasn’t really worth the cost of half of an early tech base just to buy them so early.

So my review of this game – at the start you can see we eye them coming midlow and Ramaglor and I set up a camp that allows us to pod a 3 man run that could have killed a miner if we weren’t so on the ball. You will also notice XT is wise enough to pod kill on our Exp con at home asap so they don’t have to be in a pod any longer than absolutely necessary.

As you can see Vir rushes enh carriers earlier and pushes one up high and back behind our op. I assume he was looking for miners but luckily I saw it coming and redirected our miners. We keep the pressure on that carrier and it eventually rips.

The next big thing that happens is I dispatch an op con midhigh while we start hunting miners. We run into a tp con and the carrier again so I get a little spooked and build my op con far away as I think their tp will go up. We end up killing the tp and enough of their team was distracted by our miner O that I really should have built my op much closer to the other alephs. We chase that carrier around and eventually kill it.

XT does an uneyed carrier push though midhigh and manage to kill 2 of our miners (evil ai on one of them)

I build a tp low to get some quick mineloads out of there as well as planning to use it as a spring board for a fast op push down the line. However my plans are thwarted by Vir’s excellent tp con push to low.

Vir buys another carrier and sends it high. This is his 3rd carrier this game I believe. We force it to rip out though.

After his tp con builds low XT pushes the carrier they had escorting it (a wise idea) into our home due to no D and dies pretty damn fast. They then their remaining carrier midhigh again through Rimin but it dies. We counter push an op to Rimin and at the same time Brood kills a miner midlow and Caveman kills another in their home which was most lovely for us.

We then bomb through low and while prox does damage to some of the people in my personal Honor Guard cross nanning is quickly done to repair everyone to full fighting status.

At the end of the game we do an op/tp con push to their home. XT wisely focuses on the op con (a good target because that is where ints launch from) and kill it. Really that was a bit sloppy on our part as we had only 2 nans with it but the TP did go up which would still have allowed me to rip my sup con easy as you please.

All in all a great game by SysX and XT
