Anyone remember a game in development called Infinity? I remember first hearing about it on these boards years and years ago. It boasted a procedurally generated galaxy with seamless travel through space and even to the surface of planets. The game was originally intended to be an MMO, but the developers just announced a Kickstarter for a scaled back version of the game that reminded me a lot of Allegiance. It seems they could never get enough funding to do something as ambitious as an MMO, so are instead making a combat game that takes place in a single planetary system with rounds lasting on the order of hours to days. The game looks gorgeous and is the closest thing to Allegiance I've seen.
