How to change the key to toggle virtual joystick?

I'm playing on a laptop that doesn't have a number pad on the keyboard, and I want to be able to toggle the virtual joystick on and off so I can access the star map. Can I re-map the key to a different key?

Esc -> G -> J will toggle virtual JS. Hitting F3 will take you to F3 view where you can see the overhead map. Hitting "G" to bring up the score screen will also disable your virtual JS and enable the cursor while in flight. This has the added bonus of locking your direction (by canceling any inputs you may have on the virtual JS).
