We had car sized Lithium batteries back in the day but they got killed by the car and oil industry (range 100 per charge could be upgraded to 300) Battery powered vehicles are a life long dream until we DESTROY OPEC

In my team at work we call this the weekly battery hype and we make fun of the authors.
I read such papers on a weekly base. What a battery needs to have is total energy, max power, lifetime, efficiency and realistic operating conditions. Usually one or two things of that list are completly ignored.

My favourite so far was a 2kW battery which required a 1kW cooling system.
I have a johnson photo in my profile since 2010.

OPEC? They only control like 30% of the market and cannot force the market to set prices. Thus I don't see what huge gain we would see from that?

Conspiracy theorist crap. Ever hear of Tesla motors?

Use of electric cars is not widespread because it isn't practical with current technology. Just ask MrC.

Which is exactly why an order of magnitude increase would be a game changer. I hope this delivers.
