enemy base, a BIOS SUP I think, was being bombed, but the bomber could do no damage to the base because the carbon rock was also existing in the same space as the base, and the bomber was hitting the carbon asteroid instead
You could see the base icon, and the carbon rock icon hovering over eachother, but I only saw the base model

If not it's a known bug related to fog-of-war where the rock's destruction message is not relayed - it's harmless if you can ignore it. But it shouldn't happen for the whole team.

from green perspective, MINE, the base took no damage, and the carbon rock was

At 35:15 there was another incident that had me scratching my head ... blue sent an expansion con to an expansion rock we had built on eight minutes earlier. (The con succesfully docked at our exp, and did not, as I was fearing, capture the base for blue). Eventually blue re-ordered it to build on an exp rock in an adjacent sector.
I wonder if blue sent it there intentionally for safety, or did they still see an exp rock that they thought they could build on?

The server should have the true picture and would have blown the base if you legitimately killed it, but that is frustrating. I am not sure what Imago did to make sure Allied vision was supported with his base vision changes or how thoroughly it was tested. I know a lot of testing hours went in to getting the bugs worked out for standard games. p32 did a lot of that testing, maybe he can chime in on if we tested allied vision.
I am curious if anyone noticed any quirks with He3 vision. For instance was there confusion when sending miners to sectors your allies had mined out but you were unaware because allied vision sharing wasn't working with He3? Alternatively, did anyone notice an instance where He3 drop was seen with only allied vision?

For the most part, we avoided mining our allies' sectors, and they avoided mining ours. There was just one part where I was OOB for a few minutes, and by the time I got back, one of my miners had wandered deep into allied space in search of delicious He3 on the far side of blue's territory ... I turned it around and brought it back home ...Xynth wrote:QUOTE (Xynth @ Feb 11 2013, 02:30 PM) The server should have the true picture and would have blown the base if you legitimately killed it, but that is frustrating.
