im going to change the format from last time cuz even though i offered it for a whole week, nobody took me up on the offer.

this week's topic, as you read from topic title is: how to eat ab's

unlike previous trainings, this will be the first training where i will learn along with you on how to develop this skill. i dont know how this is done and never had the chance to really explore ways to do this, so let's get together and try any crazy ideas you can come up with and discover this secret knowledge that im sure very few players (even vets) know.

eating ab's is the act of moving your ship to intercept (you get hit by the ab) or shoot down incoming bomber missiles to your base. successfully doing this can very well give your team precious seconds to kill the bbr/htt while it tries to reload. we can first practice with aleph res missiles since they are nice and slow, then we'll move on to ab's and emp missiles once we have figured a couple of good tactics. (can we shoot them down with gat/mini? can we quickfire to kill them?)

and now for the format. ill pretty much log in nightly this week (PST) if you search for fwiffo here, you can see my typical schedule, you'll probably see me in main.

if you have difficulties understanding the output of my app, it just says that my typical playing times are between 7-9pm PST. you can enter yours too if you want to verify if the app can figure out your typical playing schedule as well!

just pm me anytime during my playing hrs and we can go and create a new server and try this out. no need to sign up, just show up.

Sacrificial Matyr achievment: Eat 2 consecutive ABs.

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

afs newbies are a special breed. once they are given the know-how, they become powerful weapons at the commander's disposal.

they dont care about kb, they are always vigilant to the chat and press insert quickly (regardless of who is giving the command), and they feel vindicated if they can just sacrifice themselves in exchange for one of "theirs"

for these reasons, they are perfect for the job of cannon fodder in the very literal sense. no, not to feed some overachieving voob looking for a quick way to rack up his kb, but to single-handedly stop the effectiveness of a bomb run cold.

you guys are the perfect agents for this task... the bbr turrets always go for the higher kbs, the vets who target nans, the vets who have mastered last week's lesson (how to prox bomb runs in midair).

thus, you are the last ones on the priority list for turreteers and they will never even see it coming... they'll never realize why their bbr hasnt killed the base yet until too late...
