Howdy folks, thought I'd try a little Dwarf Fortress + Allegiance for some fun. Will do a succession game if there's enough interest but for now I'm just looking for people to sign up for characters. I'm not going to pick one, but I will be speaking in first person as the current leader of the fortress. It's my first time doing this in "story" format so I'm hoping to make this work well.
Dwarf list:
Domas Tulonakgos, Carpenter
Mosus Ralzaneg, Mason
Uzol Ilralshadmal, Armorer
Erush Cattenlocun, Brewer
Thob Olinthosbut, Cook
Inod Noguzol, Planter
Mosus Ritlolor, Expedition Leader
1st Granite, 568, Early Spring
Our caravan from the Mountainhomes has gotten horribly lost on the way to some out of the way county. The leadership training never covered what to do when your party decides to dig in to the top of a cliff after running around in circles for moths in snowy mountains. The only people who could be worse are the poor dwarves we didn't make it to, but there's not much we can do about it now. Most of our supplies are gone but we should have enough to get our own operations up and running, assuming we don't get picked off one at a time by some giant eagle.
At least the cliffsides appear to be full of iron and copper, otherwise I'd try to drown myself in the frozen river! We don't have a single miner with us but we do have a couple of pickaxes, and we all figured it can't be so hard to make a few holes in the ground, right?
A few of the guys have taken to calling the place Gurmafol "Bowelchambers." I can't say I like the name but it certainly suits the area well enough.
