Howdy folks, thought I'd try a little Dwarf Fortress + Allegiance for some fun. Will do a succession game if there's enough interest but for now I'm just looking for people to sign up for characters. I'm not going to pick one, but I will be speaking in first person as the current leader of the fortress. It's my first time doing this in "story" format so I'm hoping to make this work well.

Dwarf list:
Domas Tulonakgos, Carpenter
Mosus Ralzaneg, Mason
Uzol Ilralshadmal, Armorer
Erush Cattenlocun, Brewer
Thob Olinthosbut, Cook
Inod Noguzol, Planter
Mosus Ritlolor, Expedition Leader

1st Granite, 568, Early Spring

Our caravan from the Mountainhomes has gotten horribly lost on the way to some out of the way county. The leadership training never covered what to do when your party decides to dig in to the top of a cliff after running around in circles for moths in snowy mountains. The only people who could be worse are the poor dwarves we didn't make it to, but there's not much we can do about it now. Most of our supplies are gone but we should have enough to get our own operations up and running, assuming we don't get picked off one at a time by some giant eagle.

At least the cliffsides appear to be full of iron and copper, otherwise I'd try to drown myself in the frozen river! We don't have a single miner with us but we do have a couple of pickaxes, and we all figured it can't be so hard to make a few holes in the ground, right?

A few of the guys have taken to calling the place Gurmafol "Bowelchambers." I can't say I like the name but it certainly suits the area well enough.

Any mods?

You can dwarf me as Uzol, because Armourers are too important to be thrown into hopeless battles. ;)

I'll get the mason. Call him (her?) Slagpile. :P

If there was enough interest, maybe we could make Alleg themed raws and play a community game in the bay12 forums.

Alleg themed raws? What would that be, an Interceptor caste?

This should be fun, depending on Fuzz's skill as an overseer. Go ahead and dorf me as the brewer please. At least I'll have the comfort of being the last dwarf to sober up if you neglect to keep the brewing supplies coming.
You did remember to pack the beer, didn't you?

Put me down as 'The Cook'

Bring anything that moves and I'll make it a stew.

What would I have to do as a character?

If the answer is nothing, sign me up for a jack of all trades specializing in bookeeping, namely, recording the belongings everyone had at death.

You can make me arrive at any caravan you like...

Nope, just Phoebus' graphic pack. The Armorer is also a temporary miner and therefore in the militia :D .

That could be pretty cool if done well! Would almost have to be a mod, though.

I don't know how good I am really, but I'm starting to think I should have found a Terrifying zone :P . This is just Untamed Wilds at the moment. I also found some of those mods that add civilizations etc, thought about using them for this.

Nothing :P . I guess I'll sign "Death" up as Expedition leader Carpenter since he's also the Chief Medical Dwarf :D .

I've got 21 dwarves at the moment, still have to update the first post. The first year was unfortunately uneventful, but who knows what will happen.
