LOL WTF
Anyhoo, my computer is like 2.5 yrs old but will these high res graphics, textures etc increase lag for southern hemisphere and generally laggier players?

So what make is it? I might just buy one that has lasted 11 years.madpeople wrote:QUOTE (madpeople @ Apr 11 2011, 07:44 AM) Technically something like 11 years old, but it has 24GB of ram and a 3GHz I7 so...
I upgraded it a bit over the years
As for your question about graphics and 'lag'. No. Graphics 'lag' (low frame rate) is a symptom of asking your computer to draw something too complex for it to do in the short time available to maintain a good frame rate. Network 'lag' (high latency) is different and not really connected to graphics lag - it is related to how far away you are from the server.
A slow computer right next to the server may have very low latency (like <1ms ping time) but have poor frame rate with maxed graphics.
A fast computer on the south pole with a satellite connection will have huge (un-playable) network lag, but what'll be drawn on screen will be very smooth and pretty![]()
Just turn up the graphics settings until you notice a slow down, then back off a little![]()

Raum I highly doubt it is the same computer. I personally think a computer is the motherboard not the case, it is the mobo that holds everything together, technically you don't need a case but it can't live without the mobo.raumvogel wrote:QUOTE (raumvogel @ Apr 19 2011, 05:56 PM) So what make is it?
