*Striker@SF (IC exp) vs. ^cashto@ACE (TF advsup, starbase)
Hihigher :: 1.25/1.25/normal/SY on
17 vs. 16, 1:06
Both teams sent initial constructors midlow. TF scouts put up a brave fight and podded a great deal of IC light interceptors, but in the end we were too disorganized to contest the sector, so we planted op short.
Our second op secured midhigh. They placed their exp behind their op, whereas we put a tele low adjacent to our home and ripped in a sup.
Eventually we secured both sectors high with teles, as well as a forward tele low. SF lost one or two op cons, but also managed to put an op midhigh adjacent to their home.
ACE/SRM were dominant in the econ war. We got enh miners early on, and always had at least two miners running at any time -- if not three or all four. SF on the other hand was on one (non-enh) miner for most of the game. We managed to snipe one miner early on in their home with a token miner rush. After that, they began to defend their remaining miners a bit more closely, but once they all died, subsequent miners died within a minute or two of being built. As a result, SF was unable to get heavy ints, and even with pulse probes (on cc_10) they were unable to put a dent in our economy.
At one point we snuck a seven-nan bomb train down through middle and blew their op. Killing their exp, however, required tp2 figbees. Due to our securing of the last exp rock on the map, SF tried to get a sup con out, but it was unable to build before figbees rushed in from high and low simultaneously and blew SF's garrison.
Planet was unfortunately not very stable and many people dropped/rejoined through the course of the game. TurkeyXIII and SRM_Sarajevo dropped several times (once when Sara was making a suicide bomb run on their op). Striker also dropped in the midst of saving a miner.
Thanks to RageB, Cindy, bsubam, Elzam, Quiz, and SRM_Sarajevo from SRM who merced for us today. Initially we didn't think we would have very good turnout, but Hermit and refill managed to put in apperances -- and if it weren't for kramari, who spent the whole hour reinstalling Allegiance, we would have had 12 ACE. Regardless, the combined squads enabled all of @SF's very impressive turnout to play, so it all worked out in the end.
GG SRM and SF!

Nice summary Cash.
Firstly, kudos to the SF'ers. Your never say die attitude was mightily impressive, you do yourselves a great justice, individually and for your squad as a whole. Right up to the end you never gave less than 100%.
Ta SRM'ers, it was good to hear new voices on the channel and for your efforts Cindy and Rage you are now on my pk on sight list in PU's. That's respect! Top drawer stuff!
Special thanks to Stressed for QF2 and Hermmie for being Hermmie!

Well the rock gods didn't smile upon us again. I was looking to go supremacy early and not expansion.

We were going to exp, actually -- but the thought of an op, ref, and exp all in the same sector was a little too ludicrous even for me.

Thanks for the game ACE/SF. I was gonna be really really bored in the Main otherwise. Was fun flying with you mates and it was nice to hear a non-teenager talking all the time!

A hero is not one who never falls, but one who gets up again and again, NEVER losing sight of one's dream!
