At the moment, I'm still going over the last 1/4 of the code commits for R6 so I can make an R6 RC Branch.
When I'm done giving it a once over, I plan to put it to the dev team for further code review because more pairs of eyes are always good.
The plan after that is to have a few weeks of Wednesday beta testing with one stable version during which the main servers will be shut down so that any lingering bugs can be identified and tackled.
There will likely be a weekend game or two on the beta server using the Release Candidate build during this time as well.
I don't have an exact timeline because RL has taken me by the short and curlies as it always does in the fall and I'd rather that myself and everyone else were thorough so that we don't end up with large swaths of people unable to play like we had in R4 and R5.
Let me know here if you're willing to help with the peer review on the R6 codebase once I'm finished with my once-over. I haven't decided for certain, but I'm considering putting the threads for that in the dev lead's office in order to keep them on topic so if you have a decent grasp of C++ and want to help but don't have access, I'll have to add you. If I don't put it in the dev lead's office, it'll take place in a publicly visible but heavily moderated thread so that all posts stay on topic.
Thanks for all your help and patience, guys.
