New Drone Idea this is.
Just a carrier type drone that preferably doesn't reload/refuel/repair and is hard to dock at. All it does is have a really high Exit Launch Speed for the entering craft. Like 300mps or higher. Also preferably low sig, faster, weaker, and really long.
Thoughts?

So a drone that exists purely to attack with bombers.
I like it. I like it a lot.
Tack it onto adv sup + starbase to make standard bombing more viable.

I don't want that time to be a @#(!-storm of hate and schadenfreude.
Could make it so bbrs wouldn't be able to dock couldn't we? And if other team able to get this thing uneyed with bomb run they kinda deserve to win.Malicious Wraith wrote:QUOTE (Malicious Wraith @ Oct 18 2010, 11:36 PM) So a drone that exists purely to attack with bombers.

You want a drone that has absolutely no use?

Get over yourselves, don't try to win arguments on the internet where the option of a punch in the mouth is unavailable
"It is not that I cannot create anything good, but that I will not." And to prove this, he created the peacock.
You should go into detail with these opportunities, and generally put more detail in, maybe?
Also I guess start with the "what problem does this solve" approach. What problem in game-play is there that could be solved by having a carrier that, uh, launches things really fast? What will it help balance? How will it enrich player experience?
Your style of suggesting things seems to be to post half-baked ideas with really short descriptions and next to no justification. "Hey, how about (insert very brief description of crazy ship/random balance change/etc)?" And then you expect everyone else to fill in the blanks for you. This will not work.
Yes, the community reacts rudely, because, well, that's the kind of community it is. This is a sad and unpleasant fact, but one you should be well aware of by now. Telling everyone that you're sick of them probably won't help. Instead, change the way that you propose your ideas.
