The latest example file included in the R6 installer here: http://build.alleg.net/filevista/link.ashx...076b34b6739.ini
It's been changed a bit as of r993

;)

- Added separate section for configurable web-service URLs
- Removed balance.Mode (now can be chosen in game, for now?)

You were reaching for the PM button, but you appear to have pressed the wrong one.

From the index:

General
Allegiance discussion not belonging in another forum.

Since the server op forum has been removed (the only reasonable explanation why someone who does a lot of work pertaining to server ops wouldn't see it) then this is information not belonging in another forum.

Or, he was removed from the group and no longer has access (which appears to be the case since the group still exists).

of course k10
Let me break it out for you since until I requested removal I had access too. About ten days ago.

Other then one thread that got warmish not much happens in there in the year plus I have access
Lots of hand waving to let in some of the devs into the server admin forum
Simple question to include with no one saying boo about it
Imago and Fuzz are included in the server admin forum
*crickets chirp* for six months i.e. no posts that are relevant to a dev
imago has dev access removed therefore they removed access, as dev, to server admin forum (this is specualtion tbt since I asked to have mine revoked two weeks ago... no server, no reason ;) )

dramatically, in general something gets posted to draw attention
Eris points out this would best be served with a pm to the admin of the forum vs a post in general
People pile on choosing sides making Eris seem smart... :o but still true

mmmmhmm kay

That's a terrible waste of time to code things like this without knowing or asking if servers operators really need/want them.

People will say, who care! he's doing this for free so he can do what he wants, no ?

No, because it's not only a waste of your time but other people time as well because they'll try to be nice and so they'll try to use these (or give it a shot at least).

So that means a lot of tests, changes, etc. For what? having the server configuration in a file instead of the registry ; because server ops change the configuration of their servers every day...oh wait!

They're tons of changes and additions that can be made to this game. Tons we could have made already but tons we didn't make. Guess why ?

Yeah we could have in the past do a lot of 'show off shotgun coding' like that.

Because the point is not "Hey look and admire me i'm good I did that and this".

Seriously: NO ONE REALLY CARE about what you can do whatever some people might tell you (whoever says 'this is good', is either totally incompetent or is using you).

You really need to understand that coding is only 10% to 20% of the total amount of work required to do a change.

I've already said this many time, every hour of Imago is a waste of at least 2 hours of other people because you don't think and discuss before acting.

It's really a terrible, terrible waste.

I really hope you'll understand this one day, for your own sake. But sometimes I doubt.

<-- Still in that forum so wasn't a dev cleaning thing.

Plus Imago posted threads in that forum (not unlike this one) to inform of changes to the way cfg files will work in R6.
