THE ZONE GAME IS ON R5

DO NOT PROCEED TO THE BETA




After a long break, Zone Games have finally returned once again to Allegiance!

ZG date: Saturday 14th August 2010

ZG time: 11:00 PDT, 14:00 EDT, 19:00 BST, 20:00 CEST. This is one hour before normal SG time, don't forget!! Use this time converter if you are still unsure.

The game will be the first to feature Omicron Hive, Allegiance's newest faction.

This Zone Game will be played on the beta server.

You will find the instructions on how to launch the R6 Beta below, courtesy of the Dev Team:

If you do not already have it installed, you will need to install the
Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable.
You must also download the latest DirectX 9 and .NET 2.0 SP2Start with an up to date Allegiance install (make sure you can play on the regular servers).
In ASGS select "Allegiance -> Beta Mode".
Still in ASGS, select "Help -> Update / Repair Critical Files". This should begin downloading the required files for the current Beta version in use with ASGS.
When it has finished, click "Login".
The Beta Server's auto-updater will take over from here. When it is finished, it will close Allegiance.
Launch ASGS and ensure you are still in "Beta Mode" then click "Login" again.
You should now be able to play.
When you are done, there are a couple steps to get back on the regular servers.
Turn off beta mode "Allegiance -> Beta Mode".
Revert to the regular client "Help -> Update / Repair Critical Files"
Play as normal!

DO NOT use the other installer for this game as it will give you the incorrect beta version. Connect using ASGS only.

If it doesn't work PM Bard.

a nice way to make people beta test. Getting current beta in ASGS and then reverting back is pain in the ass.
