Throttle keys are, if anything, even more oversensitive. Mousewheel throttle seems to be working fine though. Haven't directly compared it to R5 yet.

Beta demands d3dx9_42.dll whereas regular Alleg never mentions it.
Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

I still have d3dx9_30.dll from some alpha R5 past times in my folder. I wasn't asked for d3dx9_42 or anything else on the beta test yesterday.juckto wrote:QUOTE (juckto @ Apr 22 2010, 07:35 AM) Beta demands d3dx9_42.dll whereas regular Alleg never mentions it.

You probably have installed the latest directX on your machine somewhere (maybe with another game or summat)
That beta build is build from a different DirectX SDK than R5 was, that's all.juckto wrote:QUOTE (juckto @ Apr 22 2010, 07:35 AM) Beta demands d3dx9_42.dll whereas regular Alleg never mentions it.

The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.
