Hello folks, the dev team is planning a game to finally catch the evil TF crash bug. The purpose of this game is actually to cause you to crash if at all possible. We are attempting to produce steps to replicate the problem and, if we get people to crash, we will have succeeded.

Date: December 16, 2010
Time: Normal SG time (3:00pm EST)
Where: Beta Server

Instructions on getting on to the beta server:
1. Open ASGS
2. Click the "Allegiance" menu and click"Beta Mode"
3. Click the "Help" menu and click "Update / Repair Critical Files"
4. Click "Log In"

We need a little more out of you.

In order to catch and fix the bug, the dev team needs a fair amount of willing people to volunteer to install a debugger and get us call stacks. This requires a few extra steps and is a fair bit more complicated than simply joining the beta server.

If you are interested PM fuzzylunkin1 and stay tuned. There will be a separate post explaining how to do this soon.

I think we just need until December 16 to get enough people organized to go on the Beta server. :P

I woke to black flak and the nightmare fighters.

After following your steps I'm caught in a invalid signature loop:

"File AGC.dll has an invalid signature. Would you like to attempt to repair the file?"

I click yes and, after the updare/repair, clicking login shows the invalid signature message again.

Idea is good. I have a suggestion. There's a possibility to create crash reports automatically. And send them directly to developers.
One good realization is here:

That is interesting, I will look at that in the future. For now, since what I have in mind is tried and tested, I will be having people install Debugging tools and running a graphical debugger to open Allegiance and its PDB file.
