FYI, that pic* has not been shrunk down at all, the resolution or whatver is that bad. I can't change my resolution because I can't read anything on the menu.

*the one in the link I mean; the forums shrunk the other one.

Hmm. Try ESC-D-H (higher resolution) and ESC-D-L (lower resolution) blindly to set a proper resolution. However, if that fixes it, raises the question why it defaulted you to that resolution...

What is your desktop resolution? Multi-monitoring? In that case, please give the complete configuration (monitor ordering and resolutions, which one is the primary, any special virtual/hardware adapters, etc.).

I'm tempted to move this to the development forums but will leave it here a bit longer just in case. (Feel free to move it though if you want to get rid of it, Helpline guys. ;) )

After seeing both of your screenshots, I don't think you're having the same issue as Jagnara. So I split this off. I think your only problem is that you're running a very low resolution.

Those menu entries to raise the resolution that I asked you to use but you can't, because you can't read the menu: you can also access them with hotkeys. That's what ESC (open the menu), 'D' (open the graphics submenu), 'H' (select "higher resolution" from that submenu) does. Try it please.

Also, try pressing Alt-Enter to get to windowed mode and tell us whether the problem occurs there, too.

I'll try running without asgs.

This looks like some $#@!ed up supersampling settings.

I have the exact same res problem as this person. I could give you the exact same screen shots, I know it. I have done all the updates, including manual. I have entered game and tried to up the res. I have uninstalled and reinstalled alleg. When I click on servers after i auto update, it starts the update process, gets to where it recieves files and starts the download and kicks me out. Says its a microsoft error or something and has to close. Next time I log into asgs, I can join the lobby and this distortion is present. The distortion is present and soon as it launches. Its wierd, like portions are working properly others are not. I have an integrated chipset, SIS is the manufacturer. Thank you for the help.

@Valiance: please fill out the template (or at least tell us what gfx card are you using). Also please post the contents of the files called VideoSettings.log, DeviceCreation.log and DirectInput.log, which can be found on your Allegiance folder (those are to help developers identify the source of graphics problems with R5).

@mrc: please create your own thread, fill out the template (found here), also the contents of the files I mentioned above (default Allegiance folder path is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Allegiance).

Not sure if it applies, but I had to download the widescreen fix and reset my resolution. Fixed my issue of low res.
