Welcome to Allegiance Flight School

Introduction

We, the AFS staff, would like to thank you for taking the time to learn our game. The instructors of this program are here to help you, and we hope that by doing so you will not only become a better player, but will stick around and become a long term member of the community.

AFS is a new program and currently undergoing its trial run. All of the staff are experienced players though, and many have run hundreds of new players through other training programs. Rest assured we know what we're doing.

If you have any suggestions or feedback please share them. We do pay attention to it, and this program is a direct result of feedback from previous trainees from previous programs.

Your @AFS Tag

You may have already seen your instructors or fellow students in game wearing the @AFS tag on the end of their name. Here is how you add yours:

When you launch Allegiance the ASGS (Allegiance Secure Gaming System) window opens up. Here you can see your login name displayed and enter your password, or change the callsign you log in with.

The name you registered with us on your application for ingame use is the one that has the @AFS squad membership tag applied to it.

So if your name is "Newguy19" all you have to do is type the following:@AFS at the END of your name in that box. The box should now display: Newguy19@AFS

Login as normal after that. The system will remember it for future use. You can always login without your tag if you need to, but while in this program you should wear the tag as much as possible.

AFS is considered a squad by the ASGS system, so this is the same way you would apply your real squad tag.

Note: Please do not "l33t" the tag with variations of aFs, etc. We will just remove your tag.

What to do next

Your time in this program will be spent in two ways: The first will of course be in game applying what you have learned and trying out new things. The second is on the forums and wiki here reading the wealth of information available to you.

To help you get through the reading material, we have created a list to help you get started. Click on this link to go to the thread. Watch out for those links, as they are everywhere in that list. Like this thread and other important items, it is stickied at the top of this forum so you can find it easily.

You can also read the official Mission Statement of AFS on the wiki here (link).

See you in game, and happy flying.
-The AFS staff
