big news for monkage!

as some of u are aware i've been battling chron's and other related illnesses for a long time, and i am now happy to report that the root cause has finally been positively revealed

To make a long story short... At the allergy doctor today the resultant welt from the scratch test registered at 8 for cat allergies -- out of a possible 4. In other words, my immune response to cat dander is at "least" twice as high than they measure for. They stopped the test 5 minutes early because they'd seen enough, but if given the full 15 minutes the welt would have reached 10+ on their scale, which is incredible considering my roomates have 3 cats. Allergy doc said he'd never seen anything even close to that level of response in all his 20 years, and he can't imagine how I was getting by with that many cats in the house on top of it.

Regardless, the medical mystery is finally solved and I am on the mend again, hopefully for good this time.

I want to thank the alleg community for helping me through the crap this whole thing has put me through, whether you knew you were helping or not. It has been a long ordeal, but the light at the end of the tunnel is bright, and close now.

Solution: Breath mask, electric razor, and a vacuum cleaner. no more cat hair!

Crohn's is a tough disease to diagnose and treat.

fiance has the same issue, we have 2 cats, and have to keep the house clean like mad because we don't want to give them up
