(Apologies if this not an issue that can't be fixed on the core level)

Powerful as they are, I don't have a problem with Rix SBs as such. The thing that seems like a bug is that there is on a station at risk warning when a the SB itself is eyed. The pods themselves should be flagged to give the same message as a bomber, if that is possible.

At the moment if the bomber knows what he's doing, the defenders will only get "Teleport under attack" messages, but the minimap will offer no clue where this is taking place. This sucks bad, especially in bigger games.

It's one of the things that make Rix SBs awesome. ^_^

In a large game, though, isn't this unlikely to ever happen because you'll have enough people around that there'll be probes and defenders that will usually spot the SB once it's close enough to start dropping probes? I've only ever seen this happen in small games.

Anywho, it kind of makes sense to add the warning, though I personally don't like this pattern of cutting awesome things from the game (referring to the recent post about Rix hvy scouts and the general philosophy of "nerfs = yay"). It's always struck me how in theory, the Rixians are the uber-powerful-est faction, but in practice, they don't win all that often, and end up being very well balanced against the others. Their tech is awesome, but you have to know how to use it (and their weird ships.) I think they're pretty well balanced.

So, I think this particular change makes sense, but I am very wary of the idea that nerfs are generally good or needed in Allegiance at this point.

Would it make a difference, if station pods trigger a warning message or not?

No. (Except some is using them to annoy people.)

Plus, an anoying sound will make people react faster then someone shouting that he has seen something shoot at the base.

Well I think the point was the warning on the mini-map, not the annoying sound.

Bah the message is more useful, since most of us tune out the annoying sounds.

Nay against any Rix nerfs. Especially not this! Rix SBs are meant to be awesome!

Crono is such a Rix cultist.

The way it works now is obviously a bug and half arsed coding. You can't honestly see this as a nerf anyway. It would just be fixing a thing that is broken... and annoyingly so.
