Allegaince on school lan?

read discription...i have a good handle on computers but i cant seem to get allegaince to work on the school lan... ive tried every thing and i even tryed posting a thingy in the help forrums

i can get past there "fortigaurd" (internet blocky thingy) with a proxy, i can set up a server on a diff computer and run allegaince on a seperate computer and with sov route i can get the computer to detect it on a lan game, but i need an update for the server (it says that when i try to connect to the server) but with using the proxy the downloads are so slow,

is there a server update download that i can stick on a usb thingy and update the server from there?

install server + client at home, update, copy updated files over from their install directories

You will just need the allegiance.exe file and the artwork folder from the upgraded Allegiance at home.

The artwork folder is rather large, if you want to cut down what you need to copy use the time stamps on the files and see which ones were updated. I'd just copy the entire folder however.

Update the artwork folder for the server as well. The server just needs a subset of the files but again, easiest to just copy the entire thing.

Ty you guys, i will try that, so just allegaince. exe and artwork from the atual game and then copy and paste that into the server folders... alright i can do that

Ty... took me a while to figure out how to create a new user (as reg editing was dissalowed by admin) but it works
however i was wondering if there was a way to make a file that atomaticly edits the reg for you?
that would help alooot... any ways it works for now, thanks u all alot!
also whats the back story on pook? who is he(or she)

while i'm not sure we should be encouraging you to do things you're not supposed to on your school network...

you can make them easily by selecting the things you want in regedit and clicking export from the menu

pook was one of the admins here, he doesn't do any adminning any more, but does lurk around and occasionally fixes things like the site skin and asgs

cool, pook was an admin? was he also like good with computers, his name is on the credits list for the ags thingy, any whoozlebeez it works on the schools computers now, and its easy to edit the reg (. reg files wont work on a student {and even teaher} accounts) so just do this (for any 1 who wats help getting past there schools net work thing , just as long as they DIDDENT get it from me

) : new text doc...tyep- @echo off (enter) command.com(enter) @echo on... save as.bat, run it, type net user *user name here* *pass word here* /add (enter) log out and log back in under the user u just created (sweet) and sence its not on the net work, net work polices dont apply (allowing u to change the regstry) lolz the computer admins are not as smart as they think (and they get paid to keep us out)

Have you thought of using a vpn to a computer outside you school network(assuming vpn isn't blocked)?
