Update: 1-10-09 - EP5 Brief - This is Allegiance Sports Brief. Less than 5 minutes of news you can use from Allegiance. This Brief, Gandalf from Rolling Thunder gives us an update and his take on the first match-ups of the Allegiance League.

Episode 4 has been a while in the making. I want to thank Andon for getting us the video segments for Faction X and the whole Faction X crew for their work. The new faction will be GREAT fun! Thanks to Bigrou@SysX for the video used for our highlight reel from the SysX/SF squad game from July 12, 2008. We also have some great news for you, as well as some interesting tidbits from the forums. We have a couple of voicemails too. Be sure to WATCH the voicemail segment, even though you will be tempted otherwise.

Sai's comments with the Faction X stuff made it 1000x better, as it gave interesting-ness to me flying around in ships shooting rocks and FF killing miners

Ownage. Best one yet, that was simply AWESOME (even if I had to watch my squad get thrashed).

First, what was the HUD used for the Faction X preview? That @#(! looked great.

Faction X is to put it lightly...HUGE. Those bases were $#@!ing GIGANTIC. Talk about some crazy bombing possibilities. I could drop a TP2 in that, or drive an SB up in there. And the miner? HOLY. @#(!. Well, now noobs have no excuse for missing their targets. The miners are just so massive.

I would make a comment about the abundance of firepower each ship is packing...but the video does it for me. Wow. I think I'll go test it out if it's on Planet.

We need moar voicemail, I don't want to listen to myself and Sora every week.

That game, even if we got pwned, would've been excellent for advertising Allegiance (commentary and all), though if it was used for that some terms might need to be clarified like "nan", "con D", etc. Full of action and excitement, like Lawson's little vid he made a year or so ago.

Awesome, awesome @#(!. Keep it up, I might FRAPS a pick-up game. How would I send it in though, they're usually a few gigs before encoding.

The Faction X beta is currently hosted on a box on the other side of my room, hooked up to the beta lobby. I have a cable connection and internet activity is practically nonexistent other than myself for most of the time. It shouldn't be too bad. And Faction X ships, aside from the advanced versions, are mostly normal.

I'm going to be trying to get a large® Faction X beta event going so that I can get any bugs worked out of it and then get it hosted on some of the main servers.

Great job again SaiSoma. Sure stepped it up with the video.

No need to apologize every week for delays.. you have a life! .... bi-weekly might be good if that's better for you... and promoting the site on some gaming boards to encourage new players here.

Sure looked cool... and Faction X is looking great though yes much work needed to balance it.

Well apparently Megaupload only allows an upload of around 200MB so I guess I'll have to encode the video myself like CoD4!
