Cons are way too cheap. I've seen way too many games of late where a Belters comeback puts Bios to shame.
Kill 4 miners and yet the cons and miners keep reappearing as if nothing happened. Add that to the retention of ships and tech that they're known for, the power of fignans/intnans, and it's seems very out of balance.
Tech retention tides them over until the replacement tech base gets built should it be bombed. Which means that they can go on the offensive while the tech is building in short order.
Discuss.
Belters need a cost nerf

Personally I've always found the fact that if Belters has a Tac, and it lives for more than four minutes you can have SFs plaguing you for the rest of the game, be it for another five minutes or another five hours.
I wonder if it is at all possible to have every Enh Ship tied to Garrison/Starbase so that if you kill their Garr it resets all ship avaliability. Yes, Belters can rebuild the garr and the Tac and get SFs again but it would require much more effort to do so. And they'd still keep all their ships as long as the garr stays alive.
On that note could SOMEONE please tie Hvy Scouts to Starbase?!! It is SO annoying to have to continue to fight Hvy Scouts if the enemy is turtled into a few sectors with just their techbase after you've killed the garr.

meh on the heavy scout thing
and i was thinking about making a thread on some way to nerf belters because atm they are pretty win
its not exactly their cost, but their cost + their econ. I say bring the yield down a bit and see what goes

Get over yourselves, don't try to win arguments on the internet where the option of a punch in the mouth is unavailable

Meh? Hvy Scouts are annoying little @#(!s and there is NO way to get rid of them besides killing the enemy's techbase(s). And once you do that, what's the point because you can win.
Also, think about it. You research them in Starbase...but they're tied to techbases. What the $#@!? Yeah, I would also like to be able to keep Hvy Ints when I lose my Expansion because I still have a Tac thanks.

They are only pretty win because I have been commanding them heavily and everyone copies me.
To beat belters just get some half decent bomb runs together early or rush up to advanced tech and you can wipe them out easily.
I'm not sure if they have no miners that cons keep appearing as if nothing has happened as it takes 6 minutes to payday a new miner

I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

Can we tie TP2 to the Adv-Sup?
Belters lose SBs when you kill the Tac, lose HTT when the EXP is dead but can TP2 bomb you for the next 10 hours when you blow their Sup (combine this with the mentioned hvy scout-issue and it gets even more unfair)

The problem is that the decent bomb runs DO occur, and still they get the tech they need to sustain themselves. If they have cash on hand, and replacement miner will get built, money will come in (if miners can't be found for instance), and the tech will be replaced quickly.spideycw wrote:QUOTE (spideycw @ Oct 24 2008, 07:35 AM) They are only pretty win because I have been commanding them heavily and everyone copies me.
