Fill out the template. Also post what did you do (or was trying to do) for this to occur.

Did you mess with .NET install(s)?

Negative!

EDIT: Unless there is that small chance I forgot to install .NET 1.1? Ok, I'll try installing the .NET Framework, thanks.

ASGS installer should notify you, that you don't have one of it's required components installed (i.e. .NET Framework 1.1). You can try uninstalling and installing fresh copy of .NET. Make sure you install SP1 for .NET 1.1 and Hotfix for .NET 1.1 SP1 from Windows Update. Reboot after each install.

It never did tell me that any of its required components were not installed.

==Additional info==

Lately I have found that my computer's CPU Usage is always at 100%. When this happens, my games get choppy (regardless of how many ships there are on my screen).

==Additional info 2==
1. Had a game in the main game (ASGS was still working) PS: There was a sidegame called "Razli's newbie game" at the time
2. Game ended
3. Exited Allegiance
4. Closed ASGS
5. Turned off computer
6. Turned on computer (again)
7. Opened ASGS
8. Error message appeared (See first post)

EDIT: What the? I cannot launch Allegiance.exe!! (Discovered 30 minutes after this post) I've tried reinstallation... didn't work.

I suggest antivir scan. There are plenty on-line scanners out there, google them. Using Ad-Aware and SpyBot could also be a good idea.

If that turns out to be good, start going through running non-system processes and killing them one by one. Check if there is any improvement after each one. This *might* be an issue caused by something running in the background.

This looks like a bad .NET install. Or some software preventing Xenocode from working.

You could try the .NET cleanup tool from this website : http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/200...04/6659905.aspx

Uninstall all .NET runtime versions from your computer and then run the tool. Reinstall .NET 1.1, SP1 and Hotfix again.

Today I have formatted my system drive *tediously*. Reinstalled OS, sounds and GFX drivers, reinstalled Allegiance...

It was playable again!

But after I turned off my computer and turned it back on later in the game to play Alleg, the SAME error message appears!

Uninstalled all .NET 1.1 runtimes, installed .NET 1.1, SP1... Allegiance.exe is runnable again, but the ASGS still isnt working. /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":huh:" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />

PS: Internet error: Found hotfix, but an error prevented me from downloading it!
