OK.
1.Updated my vid drivers = complete hassle with alleg
2.screwed with my services , thas a no no no now im trying to figure out wich services alleg needs to run on a xp machine
3. My directx went to the dogs and somehow screwed my 3d settings.
so what did u do arc,did u reformat your whole machine,hell no,trial and error baby
1. uninstall all alleg files,,, run two seperate registry scans,seems some free ones miss stuff so i use to to be sure.
2.redownload all alleg files and overwrite
3.c++ may not work for your edition of xp, redownload those from the links in alleg forums,if your getting the time out error.
4.In services there are 2 that iam aware of, the .net services must be running,u can get to services from start run , type in services.msc check for windows audio and .net optimize these two services must be running.
5.redownload current full version of direct x sdk some version are missing the 3d aspect of directx.
6.Uninstall .net framework 1.1 and frameworks 2.0 and fixes
7 run the .net framework repair and cleaining tool just tomake sure your completely clean
8 run reg scans
9 install .net 1.1 and patches (make sure u go back for the hotfix)b4 installing .net 2.0
10.install .net framework 2.0 ( do not install the patches for 2.0)
11. reboot when required,i reboot just to be sure
12. install alleg
13.cross your fingers on log in

Ok had to reinstall alleg over the tigereye chat pack seems to be causeing me to have exceptions to alleg, devs please check this out

No arcs a smart bunny,,,, LOL ffs i went and deleted my centerin and centerout ,and for sure thought i pasted em in there and apprently they didnt stay there or i was hi. Ok installed tigereyes chat pack running normal now,seems if u dont have centerin or centerout in artfolder alleg will log out.

your missing your centerinbmp.mdl and your centeroutbmp.mdl . When you delete your old ones to screw with your reticule ,make sure your copying these two updated new reticule files to art folder and check for them
