New Zone created and Lead appointed

I am making this post on behalf of all of the Zone Zeads

One of the many items previously discussed in the Zone Lead's quarterly meetings was the creation of a Zone Lead Position to oversee the creation of a Community Core. We wanted an individual who would be willing to take on this huge task. And it is a huge task. This person needed a very strong and respectable reputation within our community. We believe we have found him. But before everyone goes breaking out the Drama Meterâ„¢ /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> please read the following general FAQ's:Why a Community Core? So we can have a core that gets maintained on a regular basis and will be adjusted based upon COMMUNITY feedback. What is the Community Core Zone? It's a group of players responsible for maintaining Allegiance's "main" core that is run by the Zone Lead. Will this new "community core" be the only core from now on? Definitely not. Anyone can play any available core whenever they want, and none will be removed as a result of the CC's addition. Will squads have to play on this CC? Squad rules don't change, they choose whatever core they want for their games. The CC will become the new "defacto standard" though, so if no core is mentioned the CC will be assumed. What will it be based off of? <undetermined>, the ZL will decide which core the community will use as a "base".Will it get a forum? Yes, the Community Core will get its own area on the forums and will work closely with the Dev Team to make allegiance game play more exciting and challenging. Will we have access to this forum? Yes, to the public area. A private area will also be used by them, just like the Dev Team, Event team, etc. does now.How will updates be managed? The CC ZL will run his zone how he wants, fixing core issues as needed by the community on a regular basis. How will changes be incorporated into new versions? The CC Zone Lead is responsible for the zone and how it's run. He may use ASGS polls, forum feedback, or whatever else he wantsWhat if we hate the way the main core is changing?! If the majority of the community hates it, then the CC ZL isn't doing a good job and should fix it /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />Welcome Aarmstrong to his new position. (Now if we can only get him to read his PM Box....... /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" /> )
