the problem is not that allegiance is not updateing but that fact is that it keeps doing it and i want to know is it because there are alot of dates because i have not been on for a long time like all most a year or is some thing elses going on

Download the new installer from the Downloads section and use it instead of old version. Alternatively, you could try downloading the new ASGSClient.exe file, that can also be found in downloads section. I'd recommend the full installer, as you will run into this problem everytime you reinstall from the old one.

And it's best to uninstall Alleg completely and make sure there's nothing still hanging around (ATL.DLL or something like that is one such file). Once you've confirmed that everything is cleaned out, reboot, then install using the new installer. You should have less grief this way.
