I have reached a decent rank, but there has been times when I de-ranked. How does the ranking system work?
P.S.
Wouldn't it be better if the ranking system doesn't de-rank players... getting de-ranked stresses me out! >_< What do we play games for? Fun! We don't play games to stress ourselves out.

If that's the case, and only case, you're doing a damn fine job of it IB. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />IB_ wrote:QUOTE (IB_ @ Mar 13 2008, 01:19 AM) It works by measuring how well you can stack.

Well mostly a game that has total 10 players counts as a real game where the scores will count for sure but i dont know a game will count if a game starts from less than 10 players then players join while it is running to make a game of 10 players but mostly big games count meaning more than 10 players counts as a real game hope this helped sup /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />Supramence wrote:QUOTE (Supramence @ Mar 13 2008, 10:47 AM) I have reached a decent rank, but there has been times when I de-ranked. Rules for the game to count: more than 10 mins duration, at least 10 players participating for more than half of the duration. Also, don't bother with the current ranking system, as it is seriously flawed and usually doesn't reflect player's real skill (i.e. there are some really good veteran players ranked (10) or (11) or so).

If you play fair, you can truly decide you rank by the following matter:
- Win the game. Work together and play nice. Practice to help your team do so.
If you decide to be unfair and join the other team that's supposedly winning, JUST to gain a rank which helps you NOT:
- Join the commander with more experience.
- Demoralize the other team, make them feel like fighting back isn't an option. They resign. You walk away, gaining a rank, with only the satisfaction you've ruined a perfectly good game for some perfectly nice players and maybe a few newbies (WHO AT THIS POINT KEEP THE GAME ALIVE. Hats off to new players I say!)
- Join the team with the better faction.
- Join the team with more players.
- Ask buddies or people you know well which team is winning, acting like you just want to know and don't really care. Proceed to join and play against the losing team. Chances are you'll win unless a miracle happens (hopefully one will happen.)
- Join single commanding games and pick on lower rank commanders (Don't do this. That's just wrong and reflects upon your maturity.)
You're right Supremence. This game should be played for fun. Unfortunatly some people here eat, sleep, and breath it. They gloat when they destroy you and when they win. They argue on the forums over simple things. Fact is it is a game. Let me pull out an shiny quote from the academy I found today! It reflects perfectly upon my opinions and I respect the speaker for saying it, not because he's an Allegiance god, but because somebody with the smarts to say this deserves respect. Period...:
QUOTE "Even if you aren't one. This is a mature community based around a game. G-A-M-E - it's not a lifestyle, it's not your fan club, it's not your escape from reality where you're the playground bully. Being good at a video game doesn't mean anything except that you have too much time on your hands and can't find a productive way to spend it." -Pook[/quote]
Never take anything from the internet personally Supramence. Remember this and you'll be fine.
