Please define the term: drop.
Is Allegiance crashing?
Do you get an ingame message: lost connection to server, lost connection to lobby?
Is ASGS crashing?

I suspect the nVidia drivers though. I had the problem with certain drivers for the video card (>165.xx I think) where the game would crash after about 10 minutes. While updating your drivers would probably help with the crashing issue, you still will have the high lag. The high lag is a video driver issue as well and the older drivers that work do not exist for Vista. :( It is being worked on, but it takes time.

By drop I mean the game exits, and on my screen is a message saying "Allegiance has stopped working." or to that extent, and i hit okay, and it closes. So yeah, alleg is crashing. I think you might be right about the drivers though. Not sure what to do about that, but i noticed this: when I crashed last time, i was bombing and i had just killed a base, was ripping out when I dropped. I then came on here, posted, smoked a cig, talked to my friend on TS about it for about 5 mins, decided to try it again, and when I came back into the game, I was in a pod in the sector I had previously been ripping to, in a pod with full air supply :X dunno whats up with that but I thought it was rather amusing /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

I agree with Grimm, it's most likely the nVidia drivers that make you drop. nVidia borked something with there new drivers (>100.xx), that produce those kinds of effects. Uder XP, there is an option of downgrading to older drivers, that don't have this problem with older games, but those older drivers don't work Vista. They'll probably fix this, so I guess patience is will be needed. :(

Each time you lost connection to the server or your client (game) crashes and you reconnect and rejoin the game you were playing, you will be placed in an escape pod in your last known location (unless you were in base, then you will be placed in base).
