Hello artwork-guys! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

So CortUI has existed long enough without an icon or a logo. Time to change that.

Here are the rules for this CortUI Logo Challenge:I'm looking for volunteers with a good idea for a CortUI logo (in the sense of the CortUI installer and all the HUDs and modifications it contains, not just the Classic CortUI mod).
In the end, I'll probably need icons of size 16x16 and 32x32 (potentially 64x64, too) and a banner in the range of 150x50 (for installer and website). But for now, I'm fine with design sketches, or just natural language idea descriptions.I might ask for the help of others in choosing one, but in the end, I will be the one to choose. There will be no poll.Even though I don't expect that to happen, I reserve the right to reject all submissions and use a completely different one or none at all.The logo designer will be credited in the release notes etc. of course.
Don't spend too much time photoshopping all details in. What counts for me is the idea behind it, the rest we can work on.

Thanks for you help,
-- Cort

If nothing else it bumps this thread /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Disclaimer: The 16x16 (especially) and 32x32 images are prolly to hard for me.

cut the outer circle out and that might do (it would be in the right proportions roughly) /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

First of all, I like it.

Can we somehow give it more elegance, make it look more professional? Maybe another font?

I'd also be interested in a bigger one, maybe in the 300x200 range. What does it look like without the upper and lower parts cut off? Any ideas about that?

Yeah, this is still open.

I like badp's concept, but I haven't found the time to deal with this stuff yet.

Here is something similar to Badp's one. The idea is that it transforms certain data to a more readable one.

Edit: It would also look cool if the line of text and numbers was scrolling to the right but I guess that would only work for a .gif logo and not an icon.

Just popped my head in to see how things were going and saw this!
Had to toss my hat into the ring.

Spent about 30 minutes on this one, Cort, hope you like it.

And yes, if you do like it, I'll send the .psd to you and it's yours.
