Wiki: Screenshots
This is the discussion topic for the wiki article: Screenshots
Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.
Once again, the mysterious "I didn't post this" strikes again. Although, on 2nd thoughts, I may have taken a peek into the wiki screenshots page ... yesterday.
I say get some new, good ones from people and upload them to the wiki.
They should be 'out-of-context' like how TE asked for for the current screenshots, and I think you should encourage people to take some of very specific situations i.e. "We want a screenshot of a bbr shooting a missile at a base", or "We want a screenshot of a large galv run en route to its target"

I think we will have to put them on the wiki, since it seems that the wiki doesn't support redirecting to an external link :/ (My extensive 2 min test)

Sure it does, the big external link button with the globe or the code:
Added a link to ss's here for now at least.
Code: Select all

Redirect sends them directly there, so it doesn't look like a blank page at a quick glance. Also, we have a page specifically for broken redirects, so finding problems would be easy /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

We need less cheese in our screenshots.
I noticed that some of them contain several belt cap ships converging on an aleph.
I wouldn't want people to get the impression that this is what the game is about, because you constantly get silly games whenever newbies are in command and all they would do in real games is to spam for ships and get booted for their troubles.
I agree with Juckto here, showing people more teamwork and less blasting the crap out of something will giv the players a better idea about what the game is about. Especially some screenshots of a nan train doing its stuff or a proxed bomb run.
