See the pinned topic in the help forum. My understanding only on certain versions of it. Plus a bit of fine tuning.

Variable. I have home premium on a home-built computer, installed allegiance as one of the first things I did and it worked fine with only 1 small hitch (I can't remember what it was but it was fixed in 10 minutes of fiddling around). Other people have had problems (esp. with Home Basic) but no definitie cause has been found. Possibly something with some pre-loaded software.

Worked perfect under Vista Ultimate until I messed with .NET Frameworks. I'm pretty sure you won't so it should be OK for you.
P.S. Helpline expierience shows, that the Home versions have some issues runing alleg, not always, but in some cases Alleg wouldn't work at all (reasons were neve determined AFAIK).

I think this was Home Basic that had problems and that home premium was more reliable. We need a poll or something /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Walk him through what? Install of Alleg? /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> There are no strange rituals for installing Alleg under Vista. You just install it. Then it works or not. Period.
