I'm sure this has been discussed before, but recently I've been seeing Exp doing pretty much everything in game. They kill miners, they defend bases, and they act as escorts for long range bomber runs.
Now, I'm no expert on what MS "intended" when they made Alleg, but I've always been under the impression that SF's were for offense, Figs were for offense & defense, and exp was for defense/escort. As it is now, ints are kinda good for everything.
Cutting their fuel capacity would tie them to an outpost. You couldn't have people blasting off across 2 sectors to kill a miner - well, they could, but it'd be a one way trip.
Ints don't need to be toned down in power, but I do think they are too versitile. Escort and defense is plenty w/ one tech... you shouldn't also get crazy good offense w/ ints.
Ints - cut their fuel?

Or just increase it's fuel consumption. Would also make the int whores more of a target as they will have to be refueling more often. Might even things out a little.

I'm not sure how easy it would be to tweak minigun damage to be less damaging to utl armor. If I remember right that's not really something you can change in ICE, but I might be wrong. But, I do agree that making minigun damage less effective vs miners would be another thing that would cut down on their "I can do anything" role. Ints shouldn't be killing miners, not unless there's like 6 ints on it and no defense. If the enemy goes Exp, I for one think that should mean you can mine with relative ease. Alleg has turned into a "miner game" too much IMO. Going after the econ is only ONE strategy, but right now it's kinda the only strategy being employed.
If you want to kill miners, go sup or go tac. If you want to stop the enemy from bombing you and you want to push a const into their home, go exp.

if you want the int to just intercept incoming targets, then shorten
the fuel. it will make int bombing difficult though.
the high kb pilots will have to grab a nan instead. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
