Here we go again...

I am looking for the most recent versions of the high resolution explosions to add to my site. I have looked at the versions that I have and they seem to be old ones as they either go off screen or just end abruptly. Please, if you have made some explosions and they are ready to be released to the community, send them to me or make a link for me to obtain them. Thanks.

i think 22 looks nicer than 25, 25 does have the nice implosion at the start, but later on it doesn't look so good (and alleg plays it too many times)

it took 6+ hours to render i try not to think of it as tme wasted

I put a little video tutorial on that line it shows how to make em pretty fast.

25 i made in 3ds max because it gives me more controll on how the patricles move than PI (i think)

problem was the several thousand particles i used to make the shockwave ring solid. - i wanted to make a shockwave (this was before i knew about the shockwave file i have since modded)

ingame the initial implosion and the flash look quite nice, its just the end bits that dont look so good, and the fact allegiance plays it over and over when i only intended it to be played once

Does anypne know what file is used for weapons hitting shields? I've been playing with PI but I can't find which file I need to replace.

Yes, it is FX09bmp.mdl. I have 4 new color versions about to be released: Purple, electric blue, green and yellow.

I was also working on 2 totally new high res versions; a static electricity one and the other one that looked like waves. Then life got busy and those got put aside.

EDIT: I wish there was a way to assign different .mdl's to different levels and types of shields. Shield1-yellow, shield2-electric blue, and hvy shields1-a darker yellow, hvy shield2- a darker blue, etc.

Another question that I have about shields is: What's the maximum frames that can be used? There are 9 frames in the current one. Would it have been possible for me to make one that was 18 or 20 frames?
