YP
Ive N-E-V-E-R forgiven you for your role in killing Allegiance as a viable game and thought your being here was hideous mistake. The version I read about you in the history link is a kindness completely undeserved.
Poor little YP opening Pandora's box begging bad old Black and Guns to stop for the sake of the game, yeah right. Funny thing is I had a front row seat for most of it.
Guns was a Muffin and I was too. Like everyone I counted Mufatu [squad leader ] as my friend. Mufatu, Guns, and I were having discussions about his forum behavior [ ironic huh ] and his using an alias for mischief.
During these talks he mentioned that he could make things much worse watch and see. Soon after Crash Guarding went nuclear. He also told me that he and his friends had figured it out together.
I've always thought YP had an 11th hour change of heart and sold out Guns.
Management - Three things
1. Stop $#@!ing around and ban the true asshats forever. Not those who dislike your policies but the true dumb asses
2. Stop over reacting.... no no be consistent and stop waffling. 30 days, no 3 days gaaah. If you cannot ban fairly stop banning or more likely stop reacting before your sure.
3. Open things up again information wise the "feel" isn't healthy right now and it's the method vs the decisions
If there is a side to pick in this then Im on Allegiance's side.

*walks away deep in thought*
Well, forcing Pook to shut down the forums because someone was making new accounts only to post crap is bad.
Now I like YP, but that wasn't kewl. Almost any other community would ban him for life and move on. Thankfully (?) we're a little more relaxed about that. YP don't antagonize the admins, please I like you. That callsign was inappropriate in anycase.

n.b. I may not see a forum post replied to me or a pm sent to me for weeks and weeks...
Three things
1) An accusation true and no one ever said YP's name directly.
2) Matter of fact I think Ive got the chat logs still... old HD... somewhere..... but so what it's incrediblely naive to trust them to be genuine
3) My reputation speaks for itself. Other then Bax's misguided stacker rant, and a goofy sense of humor Im pretty darn clean. I try to stop drama ffs.
The Hell with me and my " experiences and accusations "
Bottom line: YP got a free pass and as far as Im concerned he pissed on it. Pure and simple YP needs to go.
Im sick and tired of @#(!ting my britches about the community chances every time this stuff happens

i thnik people are making too much fuss over this.
YP is a very helpful community member (lots of dev work)
i'm not entirely sure why he did what he did, it seemed a little of an over reaction, but i'm not entirely sure what he was reacting to.
i do know that some things he said weren't true ("pook hasn't done anything since asgs" - pook has done forum upgrades and stats)
i do wonder who thay would want to replace pook with when the "down with pook" threads happen
i do want to ask things like "which things are making you want to get rid of him", "who would you want to replace him with", "would you prefer someone else to modd the forums and do the banning, and leave pook to update the forums and stats"
but then those threads usually get closed / deleted before i get a chance to get some sensible discussion going (or just to post in for that matter)
i would hardly say he needs to go, he was probably just annoyed about getting banned (ok, simplification, i cant be bothered to word this well), he does more good than harm (this is the first bad thing i've seen while i've been here)
i think the forum lock was a good thing, let things calm down. i was annoyed i couldn't get onto the dev forums so i had to actually do some uni work instead :/
it doesn't matter, no harm done. i wouldn't say its an over reaction, had the threads been left open over night pook would wake up to 5 pages of drama over nothing really.

It sounds like YP got caught up in the heat of the moment with peer pressure, probably just like what happened years ago in his real life in those other situations.
Unfortunately he keeps going like a sine wave... he'll build up some respect/trust and be on the verge of possibly earning some responsibility (again), only to throw it all away by acting like a grade-schooler throwing a tantrum. The saying is true: it takes months or years to build a reputation, but only seconds/minutes to destroy one.
I hope that on this runthrough, he's finally learned that he needs to take a step back any time a bunch of his peers encourage him to do things that I'm sure he knows are dumb ideas. Taking a step back would likely have prevented this whole situation.
Madpeople, as far as your questions, that happened last year. Pook split things up when he realized he HATES the drama this community creates. He decided to take the two most time-consuming jobs off of his plate and give them to myself and BV in the forms of "Community Administrator" and "Enforcement Administrator," leaving him more time with Systems Administration and ASGS development...but you knew that. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
Anyways. I hope YP's already started the downward trend of this sinewave's crest... and I hope he stretches the wave out to be a straight line.

The Allegiance community currently hates their sysadmin because he is doing: [Too Much] [____________|] [Too Little]
