Because you were on the newbie server despite not being a newbie (says ASGS).

That'll do it. I *think* the threshhold for "newbie" status is a rank <8. With your 14, ASGS saw you as violating the newbie server rule, ergo the ban. It's an automated system.

Any way to lower the ranking?

No sorry, the admins have made it clear that they won't lower anyone's rank to newbie levels. If you play and lose (which you will likely do as a nebie) then your rank will slip a bit.

When the system was implemented the admins decided that anyone over a certain age probably wasn't a noob anymore, and arbitarily set everyone above that age as Vet 15. Judging by your forum join date, that happened to you.

(Well, nobody else has actually said it yet)

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.
