Okay, so I am playing again today, Trying not to be a huge drain on resources for my team. I even spot a constructor for them before it makes a base, and almost get it killed. So it gets built and I get ordered to return to base to get a Fig Nans, whatever that is. So I head to base and I assume it's a Nanite gun, so I get one of those and launch. I then hunt for Keep so I can make sure I can keep him repaired, and then it says I'm kicked off the team and banned from the server for the mission. I didn't see any messages from anyone saying do this or be banned, and I was even complying with the orders given by Keep who was the team leader. So why Did I get banned, and does this count as a violation of Rule #8 considering it's only the 4th or game I have ever played.
I'm gonna ask him when the game ends assuming the message "You have been Banned from this Mission" Only accounts for the time that that game is running. Either way, It was pretty messed up to ban me without at least a courtasy "Piss off Noob"
Does this Count?
if you were belters,
their fighters can mount the nan gun
so some people prefer you to nan using fighters because they have more health, and are harder to kill than scouts
also you can use f6 to see where the bomber is, or read the chat (scroll back a few lines), if you still dont know, jsut ask "where is the bomber" someone will usually tell you (if you are worried about people insulting you for not knowing, you could add "i want to nan it" or "i am a nan" or something to that effect, noone should be annoyed with you for wanting to help

perhaps i should add emphasis
noone should be annoyed with you for wanting to help
i would think about booting someone who flamed a noob for asking for help when their trying to find their way around. /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
i havnt seen (m)any noobs get flamed for asking for help.
some questions they do get a little, but thats only really silly questions.
most people do explain to them why they cant when they ask "can i be commander" or "can i fly the bomber" etc

I hadn't even gotten to the point of asking yet. I had just reached the base as he ordered, loaded up with what I thought he wanted, and prepared to autopilot on him while attempting to ask questions. This game is pretty fast paced, so I try to interpit what people want of me and get started on it. I did ask "what's a fig nan?" As I was docking. I never got a response and I assumed it was a Nanite gun because of my experences playing planetside, but I was unsure. I got one, and that's where the booting happened. I have since learned my guess was correct, even though I still do not know how I would have theroitically employed it once I got to the point of being near him on a bombing run. I assume that I'd unmount the combat gun I had equipped and shoot the crap out of him, but I am not sure. The point is, I didnt ask for help, all I did was not follow his instructions fast enough. Here's a series of what happened, roughly remembered but close enough to what happened.
Start of Game: I pick myself on Search wing (I have since been told why I should be in Command Wing no matter what) And head to the first Aleph I see.
A minute or So into the game: I have entered the new Aleph and have seen floating cash near the center. I order myself to pick it up.
A minute and a half into the game: I recieve new orders from Keep telling me to go to waypoint. I abandon my pickup and go to the waypoint he set. It reveals a Aleph. After reaching it, I start to go to a new cash I spotted to pick it up along the way to the new Aleph. I get ordered to pick up a missile pack instead. I pick it up, turn and head for the new Aleph.
Two and a half or so minutes into the game: I have entered the new Aleph, picked up two cashes, and am in the process of heading to the next system through an Aleph I have found. A constructor pops out of the Aleph and I engage it about the same time I am ordered to attack it. I chase it accross half the system, getting the shields knocked down and the health of the ship half down before it constructs on top of me. My controls go crazy and I start taking damage, so I attempt to get out of the construction field. I succede. I then try to find a way to attack it through the construction field. After shooting a few random shots in the direction I think it is, the station becomes constructed. Keep orders everyone back to base to do bombing. I break off my futile attacks and turn to run out and get to base. I am chased by an enemy, I dodge him and slip through an Aleph. As I enter the Aleph, I am told that Keep needs a turret gunner. Just before I dock I hear him saying to everyone "get fig nan". I dock with the base and try to enter Keep's turret. it's full, so I go to that base and go into the ship loadout. I look at the bomber and I look at the fighter, and think that what he meant for me to do was probably get a fighter with a nanite gun. So I get the fighter configured with a nanite gun and a Gatling gun, and launch. I do a quick check in space and see he isn't there, so I was attemting to target my mission objective (Him) to follow him and repair him by pressing insert. I don't know if that set him as my target or not because at that point I got kicked out of the server. At first I thought I crashed it with insert, I was actually quite suprised to discover I was banned, expecially considering the only thing he had ever said to me was "Get fig nan" and had never answered my question as to "What's a fig nan?" (Not counting the non-spoken orders I was trying to follow, that is)
I didn't see keep when I went back in, so I couldn't get an explination of what he banned me for. Raindog was there, as well as a few others and they were very helpful explaining some other things, but i still haven't seen keep to ask him WTF?

you can prevent constructors from building by ramming them when they stop and line up - stop them from lining up
you can put the nanite gun in cargo, and then press ctrl+1 to swap the first gat with the nanite gun, (press f4 to view inventory in flight), then press 1 to select only the nanite gun.
when the bombers hull gets damaged, shoot your sides bomber with the nanite gun to repair it. (dont shoot enemys). nan doesnt work on shileds
the boot was un-justified
