Hey people. Ever since I started using TS, people have been mispronouncing my name. Ive tried to tell them but it just dosent seem to work so Im here to tell the way it is.

Its spelt: Syrin
People say it like: searin
But its said like: siren

Hopefully now that Ive posted itll let people know how to say it. It just bugs me when people yell out: "Searin, pick me up!" or "Searin, get on the nan train." /doh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doh:" border="0" alt="doh.gif" />

Syrin = Siren /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

So, to be correctly, it sounds like "Συριγξ)", or like the Syrin in this example? In EU we talk different then in USA/Canada /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Syrin (Syringa vulgaris), http://plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=SYVU .

/Edited for you Engish speakers.

Basically in EU we pronounce the American "i" as "e".

Endeknoppen manglar ofte slik at skotet sluttar med to knoppar. Frøa vert ikkje skikkeleg mogne hos oss.
... I havent a clue what anything past the /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> is. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Could you rerun that by me please?

Hehe RP, you're evil. I'm glad you're on our side. I like that kind of evil unless it's being done to me.
