What Error Message: Cannot connect to lobby
Comments (What you tried, description, etc):
My network setup is the following:
DSL-Modem <-> Switch <-> Multiple Computers
one of the XP Machines is running ICS
now your help guide says that i have to forward the ports 2300-2400
the problem is that you cannot add a range of ports to the ICS forwarding, you can only add single ones
and the article you posted to the MSKB only applies to WinME and 98
so is there any way to add a range of ports to the ICS?
i didn't find any setting for it in the registry
also googled a lot for it, but didn't find an answer because most search results give back problems with hardwarerouters etc.
apart from that, the direct connection on the computer that is hosting the ICS works... i can connect to Allegiance without any problems.
also the computers which have that problem now, had no problem using a hardware router that forwarded the ports.
so my guess is that i just need to forward all the ports from 2300-2400... but i don't want to manually add them
any info is appreciated
thanks and kind regards,
