Internet Service Provider(company name):Shaw
Location(State/Province/Locality, and Country): Calgary Alberta Canada
Problem Encountered at Step #: 9 no game listing
Which Program (ASGS/Allegiance): Allegiance
What Error Message: "Failed to connect to Lobby" Error
Comments (What you tried, description, etc) Double checked Zone alarm, disabled just for kicks,
Just started hapening after the latest upgrade (ASGS)

When I run Tracert to www.alleg.net the 1st hop always times out.
I'm not sure how to fix that..

Hmmm ... you may want to talk to your ISP.

The problem is that ports 2300-2400 are not open to you computer.
Possiblily A) It is possible that this is caused by a local firewall blocking the ports.

Possibility B) Another likely possibiliy is that your ISP is block 1 or more for the ports in the range of 2300-2400. I say that because it sounds like they are very security conscious... Tracert will return "*" for hops if the ISP locks down their router to dis-allow traffic over ports 33434-33534 or ICMP traffic of a certain type.

I just got off the phone, they dont block any ports.
The 1st hop is my modem apparently.

I'm confused..this isnt my area of expertice...

I see that that particular modem supports both an Ethernet and USB connection. You aren't, by any chance, using the USB connection? If so, try the ethernet connection. I've heard that the USB connections can't be trusted.
