Hey, I've got a friend who is interested in playing allegiance, and he wants to know what the requirements are. I've told him it'll run, seeing as the game was created 6+ years ago, but still...

I've had a look around on the site, but nothing has jumped out at me, so ...? What are they?

Thanks

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

Let’s see... I’d guess Pentium 2 or better, 128MB RAM, about 500MB HD space, DirectX8 compatible video/sound hardware. Windows 95. 56k internet connection. AGP or PCI-E video card.

FAZ and ASGS prolly bumps it up to 256MB RAM and Win XP SP2 (P.S.: Don’t put 256MB RAM into an XP box.) .net framework 1.1 (not 2.0, 1.1), of course. I believe Alleg will run on a Voodoo3.

The originals were like this:

* Multimedia PC with a Pentium II 266 MHz or higher processor (Pentium II 300 MHz recommended).
* Microsoft Windows® 98, Windows 2000, or Windows NT® 4.0 with Service Pack 6 operating system with DirectX® 7.0 API.*
* 32 MB of RAM (64 MB recommended).
* Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.01 or later.
* Minimum 20 MB of hard drive space.
* Quad-speed CD-ROM drive (needed only for installation).
* SVGA (800 × 600) monitor.
* SVGA (800 × 600) video card with 1 MB of video memory.
* Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device.

ASGS itself doesn't take much horsepower, but you'll likely need more than 32MB of memory /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
