Ok I'll save you from the flames Crono. Belt ships fly like pigs, a belt stealth fighter that gets eyed can turn to opponent, fire of an lrm or 2, boost while firing snipe and boost

Baxter, I do have a rudimentary knowledge of how to play this game. Personally, I know why Belts Tac is very strong, but I asked for the reasons so the OTHERS could know.
Incidentally, Belts SBs are tough little buggers. Plus SFs with LtBoost is totally awesome.

Actaully, I think thats all fine. What gets me right now is the econ vs tech prices. Its too easy to buy everything in the whole works, even with the time lag. I see its quite possibly to get Belts Sb's up before IC hvy ints.

Well, yes belts could do that without too much problem. Tac is one of the best for belts as they don't have to dogfight much, and fly like pigs, so that's a good thing.
I dunno, belts are doing pretty good stat wise, so belts might need a whack on the head, a tiny one maybe or bigger...

Belts SB: 8000 + 6750 + 3750 + 18000 + 5000 = 41500 (I think, that's Techbase, Bommas, SFs, Station Up, SB)
IC Hvy Ints: 10000 + 30000 = 40000
Belts has a much faster econ than IC.
So yes, it is easier to get SBs up according to these numbers (and in-game experience can vouch for that as well).

Here are some options (just brainstorming now).Change Belter SB to lt. boost not boost.Nerf accel or speed a bit more .(to force importance of boosters?)Increase price for sig cloak. (Does this seem like a belters technology anyway?)Give them Lt. SFs instead of SFs to research first (then add SFs, or remove adv. SF?).Bump sig up a hair globally.Remove rip ability from tac ships? (Hmm, not even sure how this could play out... kamikaze miner killers).Remove Utl & Sniper weapons from belter tac ships (force them to mount gatt, nan, dis, or mini).Again, not sure on the feasibility or fairness of all that, just brainstorming ideas into this thread. Suggested by others before and still valid:
Increase costs of utl2, snipe1, hunter2, & sig cloak2; for all tac, not just belters.
That's the main problem, it seems commanders can instantly buy up all that tactical enhanced tech right as the tech base is up. They should have to pick 1-2 of them and not buy all 4 at once.
