Hello,
trying to auto-update a *really* old Alleg installation failed. Small surprise.
(don't ask how old. It said ASGS 2.0, build 60 -- when was that?)
(I never reached AutoUpdate. After all ASGS upgrades, I got a "Couldn't validate installation" or something in that vein)
Installing from scratch didn't work either:
"cannot run unicode version of atl7.dll on win95,98 or Me.
please install the ANSI version."
I'm too tired to go and search for the ANSI version right now. More tomorrow.
For now, I just wanted to let you know that the current installer won't run smoothly on old systems like mine. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
Installer and ATL7.DLL
Time to upgrade!
