Thing is Compellor, mass in cargo only affects your ship's acceleration. It has no bearing whatsoever on collisions - an HTT with cargo loaded down with heavy @#(! is going to get rammed exactly the same as one with a light loadout.

Yes if were at perking exp lets give brood a bonus make all hhy intts use assault shields have 4 guns unlimited fuel & ammo and also to use xrm hunter killer
Now back on the subject at hand TE is right tts are completely useless and despite Compellor's argument adding 1 emp to tts wil make it viable , also unlink the dependency between tts and htt's make them so u can buy htt with out getting tts 1st .
Add more mass and top speed to a Heavy Troop Transport (they are called heavy after all ), Nerf pulse probes witch is a major cause htt's runs fail and the problem is solved
Again just my 2 ยข

This sounds familiar but I'm not sure whether that was considered a bug and fixed or if it's still an issue. Not sure of a good way to test it without creating a custom core. Actually, I'd swear I read a thread about that not too long ago but for the life of me I can't find it.

you said on the first topic: "Hvy cloaks moved to starbase"
And then you replied saying they werent moved?!
Care to enligthen me plz?!
I said I am not necessarily attached to them being moved. You could give Htt's light cloak regular cloak, a new cloak, or heavy cloak (without moving it). All just ideas though
It would take me very little effort to stop trying to develop Allegiance after reading posts like Wiz indicating he is too stupid to read more than the topic of this thread than have to sort through is benign crap. Wish there was some sort of post option "sort by idiocy"

Ahh ty much better.
LOL if such things existed, I believe 90% of any ZL stress would be over...then where would we get our laughs?!!
IMO the cloaking idea would be a bit extreme, making some sort of "assault shield for htts", or "harder to ram htts" would put up a better balance than making all of them cloakable. Also factions like TF and Rix would get screwed at capping if using cloak. "So would it be worthy? For missile based factions yes...for the others would be even worse than not having such thing. Giving them somekinda shield, or stats (like making them harder to ram) would cause less impact, although I believe that if mass changes get involved more work would come into the way (well how would make htts harder to ram, and not screw up the cheesy ap htt of gt?! so something different for the gt ap htt would be needed( bigger hull or something dunnno). So atm at least for testing purposes the shield would fit. I believe it would be easier to balance.

As I've said before, the AP HTT can still be super dominant if we double the mass of current HTTs

Code tells me otherwise. I might be reading it wrong though.

I forgot, was emp cannon able to kill prox fields (not caltrops)? That would help HTTs.

EMP can still kill caltrops. But its really rare to see people actually use it for that purpose these days.

What if TT's could mount galv/emp cannon?
