There is a temporary server up (while I still have power) on the beta lobby.
This server is served off of a smallish pipe 512/512 kbps so while lag should not be too bad, if will get a lot worse if more than a few are playing.

It is also running the old FreeAllegiance core (otherwise known as StaticCore).

Do i need to install anything to get he Dplay to work?

i am now able to connect to the lobby, but there are no visible servers. is that b/c there are no servers currently running? (its midnight on the east coast of the US) or is it a problem w/ my connection?

(My server is on a fat pipe btw, it's hosted space, not my home machine)

will i be able to play squad games on this?

Not until it gets released.... its just in alpha/beta testing.

I'm on town-wide LAN, behind a bitch of a firewall, no port forwarding. Normal Alleg doesn't connect ('Failed to connect to the lobby'). DP8 alpha does. I am looking at alpha lobby right now. Too bad no servers are up :/
