FAZ Dplay 8 Stuff

There is a temporary server up (while I still have power) on the beta lobby.
This server is served off of a smallish pipe 512/512 kbps so while lag should not be too bad, if will get a lot worse if more than a few are playing.

It is also running the old FreeAllegiance core (otherwise known as StaticCore).

The server out before is not compatible with the new lobby. Dogbones or Tiger, can you post the new server code so we can make Spunk’s machine our guinea pig instead of ours? /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

i am now able to connect to the lobby, but there are no visible servers. is that b/c there are no servers currently running? (its midnight on the east coast of the US) or is it a problem w/ my connection?

(My server is on a fat pipe btw, it's hosted space, not my home machine)

Not until it gets released.... its just in alpha/beta testing.

I'm on town-wide LAN, behind a bitch of a firewall, no port forwarding. Normal Alleg doesn't connect ('Failed to connect to the lobby'). DP8 alpha does. I am looking at alpha lobby right now. Too bad no servers are up :/
