Hey, everyone makes mistakes, and some are more serious than others. You'll live. I bet most everyone has seen bigger screwups than the ones you make.

Also not donating is probably the biggest reason I have for booting newbs. Yesterday I must have booted 3 newbs for not donating. I explain how to put it back on... and ... well quite frankly if some one STOPS donating they know how to turn it back on. Don't do that. It's a big fopah.

Hah.. I think the "reasons to boot noobs" should be in the crash course.. I know that was one of the first thing I read here on the forums. Then again, if folks aren't reading the forums then they probably aren't reading much of the crash course either.

Damn, this was freaking good remedy for the DarkPriest667 thread! Seeing a smart newbie always makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" /> You'll like it in Cadet, I assure you.
Stop flying on the newbie server as soon as you get the controlls figured out, there's really nothing more to learn there /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Random pieces of advice:
- remap your keyboard, the default mapping sucks bad
- don't fly with your keyboard, use mouse (numpad 0 toggles mouse aim) or joysitck
- get cortUI, so you can see more chat lines (very usefull fo sitational awareness)
- always have f7 minimap open and learn to read that
You prolly know all that already, but hey, never can be too sure /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I can't wait for it to start!

Kind of did that, although I don't use many keys on there.
ogorass wrote:QUOTE (ogorass @ Jun 25 2007, 05:27 AM) - don't fly with your keyboard, use mouse (numpad 0 toggles mouse aim) or joysitck
I already did that, I got a FF joystick specifically for this game. The joy!

Yeah, that's pratically a requirment! I also got some other mods to slim down the gat particles, to make the targeting a little thinner, etc.

That's always open for me.. I've learned to love it.
