Let me ask one question to you, Freeza:
Who is the author of this "Background Story"?

Background Story:
The extended story for the origin of the Omicronians as a space faring race:
The Omicronians were once a primitive race on a little out of the way world. They had no need for vehicular transportation since they've always been very mobile. Their "spider-like" shape is a very efficient body type for travel. This Hive cultured society minded its own business and quietly lived a mildly peaceful live.
This all changed when red streaks appeared in the sky; the Omicronians were startled by this event. These streaks were much too big for meteorites. No large explosion followed after these brilliant lines of reddish hued light went below the far horizon. This was strange because this old race of arachnids has seen meteors and comets crash before, but something else must be at work here.
The Colony sent workers to investigate and what they found was the oddest thing. Large disk-shaped metallic things (The Omicronians had no word for ship) were settled into a clearing. The large shiny metal 'things' split open and living creatures came out; bipedal creatures with scales and seen in their scaly limbs lumpy metal tubes.
The workers went closer to investigate; the reptoids seems startled to see these massive spiders coming toward them. The Omicronian workers continued forward because they rely more on touch, than vision (but their vision isn't horrible). The Reptoids raised their tubes toward the workers, but the colony didn't understand that this was a warning and dangerous. The closest worker was moving to touch a reptoid with its smell-receptor covered, feeler antennae, when a bright flash came from the end of the tube. Pain; the colony felt pain. The other workers were so shocked they stopped in their tracks; but the Reptoids didn't stop, they kept firing. Workers perished; the Colony felt much pain, more than it has ever felt in such a short period.
The colony had no defense against such technology. Flying shiny metal things attacked the Home' they destroyed so much in so little a time. It took the arachnids generations to make and only hours for the reptoids to destroy. The Colony needed to save itself, but what could it do? The colony is all that matters; the Omicronians have no sense of shame, honor, or self-preservation. The decision was made; they would submit their loyalty to the creatures with 'bright-tubes.' This was difficult, what would these reptoids understand as submitting?
The Home was emptied by all arachnids but the queen, the egg-layer, the survival of the colony depended on her survival. All the Omicronian workers and drones went into the plans and stood still. Thousands, millions, billions were strafed by the flyers and died, but finally the reptoid colony understood that the Omicronians were no threat.
The Reptoids, who were actually called the Dhilani, began teaching the Colony how to build and repair the reddish-shiny metal things.' They were called ships. The Colony was eager and learned quickly. The Omicronians wanted to please the Dhilani Colony, so they worked extremely hard and well. The Home was rebuilt and the colony survived.
But as the Colony learned more, it began thinking that the Dhilani Colony isn't superior, so why should arachnids work for reptoids? The Dhilani Colony is too strong for The Colony to absorb or eliminate, but The Great Colony should be on its own. Plans were made. Nothing could be leaked to the equal, and not superior, Dhilani Colony. The plans were safe within the mind of The Colony.
Large metal 'things' were built in secret within the Home. The Dhilani Colony's reptoid workers didn't like the Home, it was too humid and 'creepy, crawly' for their taste. Then, once the arachnid's 'things' were ready and when the Dhilani Colony was completely fooled into believing the Great Colony was content in being slaves for an equal, the Omicronian's plan started.
A deep rumble was heard deep within the Home. The Home crumbled, but it was a small price to pay for the expansion and escape of The Great Colony. The Large metal 'things' and smaller 'things' too shot out of their resting place. Workers that were left behind to keep the look of normalcy died, thousands died, millions died, but the queen and the Colony were on their way.
The Omicronian's 'things' continued upward and out of the atmosphere of 'the cradle of the Home.' The other reptoid colony had 'things' exactly like The Great Colony, but far fewer. The Dhilani Colony attacked the fleeing Omicronians, and great damage was done to the fleeing arachnids. For the Reptoids were much more familiar with the systems of their own 'things.' Finally, The Great Colony was in the clear; the search began for a 'new cradle of the Home.'
The largest metal 'things' of The Colony traveled silently among the deep space between systems. Then suddenly there was a bright flash, a sense of nausea throughout the hive mind, and streaked stars were seen by a few. The Great Colony was confused and worried about survival, but as soon as the new feelings and sights started, they ended. Explorer metal 'things' were sent out to find out what, if anything was near. The explorers for The Great Colony had found a 'new cradle for the Home' nearby. The arachnids was elated and set course for a new, unhindered by reptoid, life and the continuance of their existence. A new Home would be built, and The Great Colony will thrive once again. This time, The Colony will be ready for any other colonies that arrive. Never again will The Great Colony be hurt.
